The Debate

The debate runs from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Taipei time at the TVBS studio, hosted jointly by TVBS and SET. The moderators are TVBS anchor Huang Hsing-hua and SET anchor Li Wen-yi.
辯論在TVBS攝影棚舉行，台北時間中午12點到下午2點，由TVBS與三立聯合主辦。主持人是TVBS主播黃星樺與三立主播李文儀。
There are four rounds: opening statements; cross-examination, in which each candidate questions the other and may follow up once; questions from the media, put by TVBS’s Fan Chi-ming and SET’s Huang Yen-yi; and closing statements. By lot, Shen Po-yang gives the first opening statement, and Chiang Wan-an gives the first closing.

In California, the debate airs Friday, October 30, 9:00–11:00 PM. TVBS and SET stream their election events live on their YouTube channels.

TVBS also polled the debate itself: 74% of Taipei voters know it is happening, 60% plan to watch, and asked who will perform better, 41% said Shen Po-yang, 30% said Chiang Wan-an, and 30% had no opinion.
TVBS也為辯論做了民調：74%的台北選民知道有這場辯論，60%打算收看；問到誰的表現會比較好，41%說沈伯洋，30%說蔣萬安，30%沒有意見。

October 23: the candidates draw lots for their ballot numbers. November 13–27: the election commission holds its official policy forums, where all six candidates appear. November 18: the legal blackout on publishing polls begins.

Election day is Saturday, November 28, 2026, with voting from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

A second or third debate has been discussed but not agreed: the Shen camp has asked for more debates; the Chiang camp says it is open to invitations from other media alliances. As of this post, only the October 31 debate is confirmed.
第二、第三場辯論討論過，但尚未定案：沈伯洋陣營希望多辦，蔣萬安陣營表示對其他媒體聯盟的邀請持開放態度。截至本篇發文，只有10月31日這一場確定。
Chiang Wan-an is 47; Shen Po-yang is 44. Both graduated from Jianguo High School, and both hold law degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.
